Major Sean K. Price currently serves as the regional defense counsel for the Defense Services Organization - East. The son of a naval aviator, he grew up all over the United States. Major Price joined the Marine Corps in 2010 between his second and third years of law school at the University of Chicago.
Upon graduation from The Basic School and Naval Justice School, Major Price represented the United States as a Trial Counsel and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for Marine Corps Base Quantico. In the Summer of 2015, Major Price executed orders to U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe and Africa in Stuttgart, Germany, where he served as the Assistant and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate.
Following his assignment in Germany, Major Price attended The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, VA. In May 2019, Major Price graduated on the Commandant's List and received his Master of Laws with a concentration in National Security Law. Major Price then executed orders to report to II Marine Expeditionary Force aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he served as the Operational Law Officer. While assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force, Major Price deployed as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for Task Force Southwest to Helmand Province Afghanistan. Upon redeployment, he transferred to the Legal Services Support Section on Camp Lejeune.
Major Price first served in the Defense Services Organization as the Complex Defense Counsel for the Eastern Region, tasked with defending the region's most challenging cases. He then assumed the responsibilities of the Senior Defense Counsel for Camp Lejeune, supporting the team of judge advocates who defended Marines and Sailors assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force, 2d Marine Division, 2d Marine Logistics Group, Marine Corps Installations-East, and those 2d Marine Aircraft Wing personnel stationed on Marine Corps Air Station New River.
Following his tour in the Defense Services Organization, Major Price was assigned as a Commandant of the Marine Corps Fellow at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Afterward, Major Price executed orders to Marine Forces Special Operations Command, where he served as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate and deployed as the Staff Judge Advocate for Joint Special Operations Task Force - Somalia.
In June 2026, Major Price was appointed the Regional Defense Counsel for the Eastern Region, which provides defense services to Marines and Sailors assigned to Marine Corps installations and commands throughout the southeastern United States.
